NICC is born
Nyambene Integrated Child Care is officially registered under Kenya's Public Benefit Organization Regulatory Authority (PBO).

Nyambene Integrated Child Care is a Kenyan charitable NGO walking alongside vulnerable children and families — restoring hope through education, health, nutrition and community empowerment.

In June 2024, a small group of Meru neighbours, teachers and church leaders looked around their villages and refused to accept what they saw — children out of school, families skipping meals, mothers carrying impossible weight alone.
Together they founded Nyambene Integrated Child Care, registering formally under Kenya's Public Benefit Organization Regulatory Authority. From a single classroom of sponsored learners we have grown into an integrated programme reaching children, women and vulnerable families across Nyambene.
Our story is not about a foreign rescue. It is about a Kenyan community choosing, every day, to raise its own.
To improve the welfare of needy children and other vulnerable persons in our community by providing basic needs and financial empowerment.
To serve humanity by improving their quality of life — building a Kenya where every child is loved, healthy and full of hope.
Compassion, integrity, accountability, dignity and community partnership guide every program we deliver.
A grounded team of Kenyan leaders, educators and community workers.
We don't deliver isolated programs — we weave together the threads a child needs to thrive.
Every decision begins with the child — their safety, voice and long-term wellbeing.
We strengthen local groups so families can sustain change long after we step back.
School fees, uniforms, learning materials and psycho-social mentoring for vulnerable learners.
Access to medical care, nutrition and wellbeing for children and their caregivers.
Micro-enterprise and financial empowerment that breaks cycles of poverty for good.
We honour the dignity of every family we serve — never charity, always partnership.
As a registered Kenyan PBO, we hold ourselves to international donor standards — because the families we serve deserve nothing less.
